Wait for it...and there it went

For those of you who know me, you know that I'm not really into the whole political thing. Bare with me, the following is my brief thought on the current political environment. Yes, I do have my convictions and stances on certain issues, but for the most part I'm just apathetic to the whole thing. I realize this is awful and that I should be more involved in our nation's politics...I'll get there one of these days. However, in the past few days I've been surrounded by multiple conversations about the future election. The thing that has surprised me the most is that people feel as though we don't have a liberal media. Regardless of your beliefs, you seriously have to be so narrow-minded if you don't realize that our major media outlets are more liberal than not. Yes, there is FoxNews which is more conservative, but on the whole media = liberal. And don't even get me started on celebrities making their "PSAs" (and I use that term ever so loosely). When people question why they're only hearing certain things or not hearing others, you have to look at the source of your information. This is just reality. Those are my feelings....and there they go.

On a happier note, Sophie and I travelled home this weekend because my Katelyn was in town! I love this girl to the moon and back, and I miss the fact that I don't live 5 blocks from her anymore. Not only did I get to see her and hear her ridiculous stories, but I also got to see her lovely mother. Those 2 keep my laughing non-stop when we're together.

Saturday night we had a visitor at 4202. Landon, my adorable 2 year old cousin, came to hang out for the evening. It is amazing how quickly he's growing. The fact that he's forming word and phrases you can actually comprehend is incredible. I'm not too sure if he was a big fan of Sophie's or not. Although Landon is used to dogs, for he has 2 boxers of his own, I'm not sure that he's used to dogs that are his size. Sophie was constantly in his face and jumping on him which is probably a new thing for him. Below is a video of them playing fetch. Landon wanted Sophie to run for the ball before he threw it. Makes for a good laugh.

Just Who is Sophie Diane?

Here's a brief glimpse into life with Sophie...

Hello World!

Sophie and I are joining the blog world! After stalking many friends via their blogs, I only felt it was appropriate that I attempt a blog of my own. I make no promises as far as posting insightful, thought provoking posts or frequent (e.g., daily) posts. I do, however, promise to try and entertain with stories involving my ridiculous life...most of which stem from the one and only Sophie Diane, cockapoo extraordinaire.

For example, today I bought Sophie her very first outfit. It is a cute A&M doggie t-shirt that she absolutely loves. I was concerned that she would flip out when I put it on her, but she surprised me. She did play "no bones" for a couple minutes and just lay there limp after I put it on. I'm sure she was thinking, "why has this crazy person put me in something that covers all my fur?" However, after the initial shock she jumped up and started prancing around the apartment with this air of "am I hot s*$@ or what?!"  I attempted to take a couple pictures, but that is near impossible with this dog.  The second she sees the camera she shoves her face in it...such a camera hog.

I'm literally holding her neck down in attempts at getting a picture.

Sophie's favorite thing to do is look outside the window.

Hopefully we won't be to boring for the blog world out there.  Keep checking in on us because I'm sure there are more adventures to come!
